Todd J. Agnew, O.D. is the Clinical Director of Optometric Services at Key-Whitman Eye Center. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Chemistry. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry. He earned certification from the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and was certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease. He completed post-graduate certification as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. In addition, he completed board certification by the American Board of Optometry, an organization that promotes and demonstrates lifelong learning for Doctors of Optometry.

Dr. Agnew has served with Dr. Whitman as a co-investigator in multiple FDA studies for more than 20 years with Key-Whitman, including intraocular lens implants, LASIK, ICLs, glaucoma, and dry eye disease. He has been asked to serve on several boards and lecture on many different aspects of eye care. His memberships include the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, Dallas County Optometric Society, and the Optometric Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Society.

He is an expert on the subject of Dry Eye and Ocular Surface Disease, a condition that can dramatically affect a patient’s vision and their quality of life. Dr. Agnew is dedicated to make a difference for his patients with dry eye and ocular surface disease by providing the best care and current technology.

Dr. Agnew is also extensively trained in pre-operative and post-operative management of cataract and refractive surgery, including Symfony, Panoptix, Crystalens, ReSTOR, and Tecnis IOLs, ICLs, LASIK, and PRK. He performs comprehensive dilated eye examinations for diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, corneal disease, and diabetic retinopathy.

He lives in McKinney with his wife and children. He is an avid swimmer that participates and competes with Metroplex Aquatics and United States Masters Swimming.
