Tara Hardin, O.D.

Dr. Tara Hardin grew up in Plano. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Texas Tech University. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry where she graduated with honors as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Hardin enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.

Dr. Hardin is a Therapeutic Optometrist. She earned postgraduate certification as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease by the International Association of the Board of Examiners in Optometry. She is also certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. Dr. Hardin completed her Clinical Externships at Laser Institute of the Rockies in Denver, Colorado and at Eagle Eye Clinic on the Fort Lee Army Base in St. Petersburg, Virginia. She is a member of the Dallas County Optometric Society, Texas Optometry Association and American Optometric Association.

Dr. Hardin is extensively trained in preoperative and postoperative management of cataract and refractive surgery patients including LASIK, Limbal Relaxing Incisions, Multifocal, Accommodating and Refractive Implants. She performs comprehensive dilated eye examinations for diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, corneal disease and diabetic retinopathy. She also specializes in fitting soft contact lenses.
