Priya Kalyam, MD earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering and graduated in the top 5% of her class at Rutgers School of Engineering in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She was a Dean’s Scholar Student and earned her Doctor of Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey. She continued her education at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania where she was selected Transitional Resident of the Year. She completed her Residency in Ophthalmology at Yale University School of Medicine and she completed a two-year Fellowship with the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) at the prestigious Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Kalyam is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She is experienced in all areas of General Ophthalmology but completed advanced training in eyelid, orbit, tear duct system and facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. When she isn’t treating patients, she enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle and spending time with her husband. Her hobbies include classical Indian dance, cooking and traveling. She speaks fluently in English and Telugu, conversationally in Tamil, Hindi, and Spanish.
