Mark Stephens, M.D.

Mark Stephens, MD, has extensive experience in cataract and refractive surgery. With the most advanced techniques and technologies available, Dr. Stephens offers patients innovative alternatives to wearing glasses and contacts. He also helps glaucoma patients with high-tech treatments using laser and micro-invasive procedures. In addition, Dr. Stephens has experience with early detection and intervention of diabetic retinopathy and other diabetic eye diseases.

After graduating summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University, Dr. Stephens earned his M.D. at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the Medical College of Georgia, where he was named Chief Resident his final year. Upon completion of his residency he moved back home to Dallas where he has been practicing for the past 5 years. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, has served as Medical Director for Walnut Hill Surgery Center, is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons and the Texas Medical Association. Dr. Stephens continues to be actively involved in research and currently serves as a Medical Director for SGS a clinical research organization.

Both Dr. Stephens and his wife grew up in the Dallas area and are excited to serve their community. They stay busy raising their 2 wonderful children.
