Dr. Kate Lee, M.D. attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida for her undergraduate studies and continued there for her medical training. She completed her residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans before moving to Texas and joining Rockwall Eye Associates.
Dr. Lee is board certified and licensed in Texas. She has staff privileges at Medical City of Dallas, Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, the Ophthalmic Surgery Center of Dallas and Key-Whitman Surgery Center in Dallas. She also has faculty privileges at University of Texas Southwestern where she volunteers her time instructing and training the residents on skills needed to perform cataract surgery. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Texas Medical Association.
Dr. Lee treats all diseases of the eye and specializes in cataract surgery including laser-assisted cataract surgery and the newest technology for accurate lens selection that is performed during the surgery. She is well-versed in selecting implants that greatly reduce dependence on glasses for both distance and near. In the clinic, Dr. Lee also evaluates and treats glaucoma including laser therapy, dry eye and diabetic eye disease.
In her free time, Dr. Lee enjoys both jogging and cycling, and has participated each year in the Bike MS 150 Ride across Dallas to benefit multiple sclerosis. She is newly married and is looking forward to starting a family.
