Board Certified Ophthalmologist
Edward Hurst, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist and sees patients in Rockwall, Texas. He is currently licensed to practice ophthalmology in Texas. He is affiliated with the Key-Whitman Surgery Center and Ophthalmology Surgery Center in Dallas. He attended Medical School at the University of Texas Medical Branch Medical School. He completed his Residency at the Truman Medical Center – West Truman Medical Center – West in Kansas City, MO and his Internship at the Baylor University Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Hurst treats all diseases of the eye including cataracts, diabetes and glaucoma and has performed thousands of cataract procedures. He performs the latest in cataract surgery including the femtosecond laser and provides a full range of refractive lens options to reduce the dependence of glasses and contacts.
Away from the office, Dr. Hurst is involved in medical missions overseas performing surgery on those with much need. He enjoys travelling, reading and spending time on the farm playing with the livestock and driving his tractor.
