IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)
What is the IPL?
IPL is a light-based therapy that targets pigment in your skin cells to improve the color and texture of the skin without surgery. Treatments are indicated for:
- Sun spots
- Age spots
- Freckles
- Rosacea
- Broken Blood Vessels on the Face
- Discolored Skin
How Does IPL Work?
The Intense Pulsed Light is absorbed by pigment cells in your skin, which is why it is so effective at treating redness, unwanted small blood vessels, and brown spots. IPL requires multiple monthly treatments to achieve the desired goal.
Am I a Candidate?
Based upon your goals, skin type, and medical history, we will determine your candidacy. The best candidate for IPL has light colored skin. The first step is to schedule a consultation.
When Can I Return to Normal Activity?
You can resume your normal activities immediately. It is important that you wear daily sunscreen afterwards.
