She then earned her medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she was a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Warren is the proud mother of three lovely children.

To learn more about Dr. Warren, we sat down with her to find out about her work and what motivates her.

Why did you choose to specialize in cataract, vision correction surgery and glaucoma management?

I enjoy helping patients achieve the best vision possible. Sight is such a precious thing. Cataract surgery, vision correction surgery and glaucoma management can really change people’s lives.

What is most rewarding about your work?

There is no better reward than seeing people enjoying restored or improved sight.

Is there a time you can recall when you thought to yourself, “This is why I do what I do”?

I am reminded all the time of why I love what I do. I see patients every day who remind me of what a difference I can make in their lives.

What is one goal you have for the future?

A recent goal we have been working toward is serving underdeveloped countries to bring current procedures and medical services to people who usually would not have access. Dr. Haq and I have partnered with BCVI (Belizean Council for the Visually Impaired) to act as volunteers. We donate our time to help change lives with surgery and medial exams. We are bringing a surgical team to Belize again in February of 2015. It is truly a remarkable feeling to help patients regain their sight.

What are some hobbies you enjoy outside of work?

I enjoy outdoor activities, reading and spending time with my family.

If we were to interview your patients, what is one thing you would hope your patients would say about their experience with you and Key-Whitman?

That we truly care about them and their eye care and do everything in our power to ensure they have the best sight possible.
