hands examining a woman's faceEye surgery and eye treatments are most often thought of as treatments for an eye condition or vision loss, but many eye treatments are actually cosmetic. Key-Whitman offers a number of beauty treatments for your eyes. From Latisse® to oculoplastic surgery to Botox®, we’re here for your vision and beauty needs!

Latisse®

Latisse® is the first and only prescription treatment to help you grow longer, fuller eyelashes. It’s the active ingredient, bimatoprost works to lengthen, thicken and darken eyelashes over time. Latisse® is a once-a-day treatment you apply at home. It is FDA approved and many will see results in as few as eight weeks.

Incorporate Latisse® into your daily or nightly routine. After removing your eye makeup, apply Latisse® using the applicator provided. Be patient with results, but in eight to twelve weeks, you should begin seeing results.

Oculoplastic surgery

Oculoplastic surgeryi s plastic surgery for eyelids; tear ducts and the orbit of the eye. Oculoplastic surgeons are experienced ophthalmologists who have also received training in plastic surgery of tissues around the eye, and understand the balance of performing cosmetic or reconstructive surgery while maintaining the function of the eyes.

Conditions such as drooping upper eyelids, eyelids that turn inward or outward, eyelid growths, tear duct blockage and disfigurement from injuries, burns and birth defects can affect not only appearance but are often conditions for which cosmetic surgery may even be medically necessary. Surgery to treat conditions which cause the eyebrows to sag or cause excess skin on the upper or lower eyelids are sometimes considered purely cosmetic, but may also be considered medically necessary. Key-Whitman cosmetic and reconstructive surgeons are experienced in treating each of these conditions.

Botox®

Botox® Cosmetic surgery can be performed to remove frown lines between your eyebrows that can leave you looking tired or upset. If you’re looking for a non-surgical solution to smooth frown lines, turn to Key-Whitman for physician-administered procedure to reduce the appearance of frown lines between your eyebrows.

Key-Whitman surgeons, Meredith Allen, M.D. and Jorge Corona, M.D specialize in reconstructive and cosmetic eyelid surgery.
