Haq, M.D. was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated Magna Cum
Laude from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. He served an internship
at the Health Alliance Hospitals in Cincinnati, OH and completed his residency
in ophthalmology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He was elected
chief resident by the faculty and also served as assistant professor of
ophthalmology for two years. He completed a Fellowship in cornea and refractive
surgery at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York.
Dr. Haq is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi and is conversant in French.
Dr. Haq is a surgical staff member of the
Key-Whitman Eye Center and Presbyterian
Hospital in Dallas. He is board certified by
the American Board of Ophthalmology. He
is a member of the American Academy of
Ophthalmology, the American Society of
Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the
Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology, and the
Texas Medical Association. Dr. Haq is
diligent in staying current with the newest
medications and techniques in order to
provide his patients with the best possible
care. His research studies have been
published on numerous occasions and he
has been a speaker at national ophthalmic
conferences and symposiums.
Dr. Haq is experienced in all areas of ophthalmology and specializes
in the treatment and surgery of cornea disease. His surgical expertise
includes cataract and refractive surgery, including LASIK, using the Wavefront
custom treatment and IntraLase® for the correction of nearsightedness,
farsightedness and astigmatism. Dr. Haq is particularly interested in
the newer intraocular lenses, which include Crystalens®, ReZoom®
and ReSTOR®. These lenses are designed to reduce the dependence on
glasses and contacts for all distances - near, intermediate and far. Dr.
Haq is also trained to provide BOTOX Cosmetic® treatments for cosmetic
purposes and performs a variety of eyelid surgery. |
