Meredith Allen (Abbott), M.D. grew up in Cleburne, TX and graduated from Texas Tech University School of Medicine after completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Allen spent her internship locally at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Her residency training in Ophthalmology was at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She is fellowship-trained in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery by The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York City.

Dr. Allen is licensed in Texas and New York. She is board certified eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is a member of the Dallas County Medical Society, Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology, Texas Medical Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, where she is involved in teaching ophthalmologists from all over the country at the annual meeting.

Dr. Allen is recently married, and is pleased to return to the DFW metroplex to serve patients with disease of the eyelid, orbit, and lacrimal system as well as patients pursuing cosmetic eyelid surgery.
