Pterygium

Pterygium

Dr. Jeffrey Whitman, Dr. Faisal Haq, and Dr. Ronald M. Barke shed light on an eye condition called pterygium. Many people who spend ample amounts of time outdoors in high UV sunlight conditions suffer from this condition. When pterygium occurs, a fleshy tissue will begin to grow on the white of the eye. However, if the condition progresses and grows over the pupil, a person may suffer from vision problems. To learn more, check out our video or contact Key-Whitman Eye Center.
