34176039_sThe gloomy winter weather is behind us (we hope) and it’s finally time to enjoy some springtime weather. That means sunshine, flowers and plenty of fresh air. After spending the winter inside, are you ready for some outdoor fun?

Here are a few of the events in and around Dallas we think you’ll enjoy this month.

Pickle Parade and Palooza, Mansfield
March 12-14, 2015

Dallas Blooms at the Dallas Arboretum
Through April 12, 2015

Spring is our favorite season at the Dallas Arboretum, hands down. Dallas Blooms is the largest floral festival in the Southwest and a 30-year tradition for the Dallas Arboretum. This year’s theme plays homage to our beloved state: Deep in the Hearts of Texans. The Texas-sized extravaganza features more than 500,000 blooming spring bulbs along with life-size Texas themed topiaries, entertainment, food and special activities celebrating the state.

Dallas Blooms runs through April 12. More information here.

Walk the Light Arts Festival, Cedar Hill
March 21, 2015

Artists of all genres display and perform their craft inside downtown businesses, in Pioneer Park and on the streets when Walk the Light Arts Festival comes to Historic Downtown Cedar Hill the third Saturday of March each year. Join the fun and participate in the creative process through interactive art illustrations, performances and exhibits. Admission is free!

KidFest, Grand Prairie
March 28, 2015

An all-new event at Traders Village in Grand Prairie, KIDFEST features a host of activities just for kids. Two stages will feature performances kids will love, including a high-energy show of music and experiments with Professor Branius and Mr. Willy, a well-known children’s entertainer and performer. On Sixth Street, there will be face painters, clowns and magicians.

All activities begin at noon. Admission is free. Parking is $4. Click here for more information.

The summer heat will be here before you know it. Don’t let spring pass you by without getting outside and enjoying some of the sights around North Texas!
