This year marks the 50th anniversary of Key-Whitman Eye Center in northern Texas, the center where
two honored doctors provide their services to the public. The Plano clinic
has been in operation for more than a decade, offering Plano LASIK to
the residents of Collin County.
The two doctors from the clinic that have been honored by D Magazine are
Dr. Faisal Haq and
Dr. Kimberly Warren. Both doctors are knowledgeable in providing an extensive range of adult
vision care, including surgery to correct cataract, lens implants to improve
vision at all distances, corneal disease and glaucoma management, and
general comprehensive eye exams. The all-laser, blade-free LASIK surgery
offered through their experience is considered the latest in vision correction.
LASIK is used for the treatment of astigmatism, nearsightedness, and farsightedness.
Being placed on D Magazine’s Collin County Best Doctors’ list
is a significant achievement. The process of selection is achieved by
inviting more than 1,500 Collin County doctors to vote for one another
based on their expertise in various categories. Votes were asked to be
placed based on who the voters would feel comfortable sending their loved
ones to for care. For 2011, 482 doctors voted with more than 10,000 votes
cast altogether. An outside marketing firm was asked to tally the votes
so no misrepresentation could take place. D Magazine staff members then
reviewed the tally and confirmed the top doctors' medical license
status, board certification, and disciplinary status. The winners, after
this intensive process, were Key-Whitman Eye Center's very own Dr.
Haq and Dr. Warren.
D Magazine decided to put this Best Doctors list together for Collin County
because annual Best Doctors lists tend to be skewed toward Dallas County.
The medical community decided that Plano doctors should have a chance
to present themselves in the light they deserve. Clearly, this was accomplished
with the selection of these two excellent doctors in Collin County.

his internship at the Health Alliance Hospitals in Cincinnati, OH and

lies in Plano LASIK surgery. Dr. Haq's goal is to always remain current
with the newest technology so he can provide his patients with the best
